Won't you help support DayPoems? GodheartBy Mark Zimmerman21st Centuryspinning and pumping along the pathway, drenched with melting rocks shaped like fornicating roses twirling around, the heart is carried while gliding back and forth through time exploring questions of yours and mine a silent approach, descending on the suface of glass a melting volcanoe frozen by blue ice pouring down from heaven o, it shines like infinite suns beckoning the cool shade of spinning moons winking and blinking, gathering strength to roar across oceans the heart appears-drowning out all light flowing into the sky exploding from the sea it transcends into the air , crashing through the sun the heart questions "why"? the sun's answer ;a paradox of lies i'm angry about nothing;a simple fly maybe a bee that wants to walk with the ants given in to frustration, the bee devours itself, hungry to be the ant that it finds inside a doorway to the past is locked with melted gold, dripping down the chin of some fat god who eats and drinks gold from a golden platter and goblet wearing silk robes spun from ancient giant silkworms controlled by the shepards of times past who fed them with magic potions slathering their bodies with wondrous lotions in hopes that they bear witness to grand devotions used by the god drunk on gold while the real god watches from an ever higher throne passing bright eyes over everything smiling and crying, preparing to act just for a second, turning back to the ones it has fathered; mothered the sons it has daughtered "show me the way!" they cry in unison god turns around and sighs, "it is not for me to say what one mortal does in a day i am not a man, woman, wishmaster, illusionist or magician i am the light the dark the air and the water given to you by me for i am the father the hope and faith inside every living creature i am the love that feels like hate the love of love i am why you cry when feeling alone i am your heart protected by bone i am chance, luck, fortune, and chaos i am passion mixed with danger i am safety, a home, or shelter i am hot and cold winds the power of your heart is free will given to you by me to choose love or hate is up to you so do no offer me a sacrafice of cows, pigs, or children i require none of these to honor me in that way all i need is for you to be true to yourself the rest will take care of itself so as you travel the rivers of time stop and drink s you wish get your fill and head on out out of the womb into the place that you will find here on earth to pass the time crawling along the riverbank you will search for the next womb albeit distant or ever close a warm place to curl up for a while touch lives of those not touched by the hand of mine it is now yours i pass the power of life to you- wield it wisely" DayPoems Poem No. 2391 Comment on DayPoems?
