Shattered Memories

21st CenturyFrom a long forgotten past
the shadows on the wall
are lost in the darkness
as memories dance on the ceiling.
Memories from someone elses past
slowly creep in
as though they belong here.
And the hardest thing to do
is to continue on.
But it doesn't matter
how hard it is.
We still have to climb that hill
to get to the top.
