Won't you help support DayPoems? The Rose that Grew From ConcreteBy Jasmine R. Ragland21st CenturyA little crack in the concrete Not too wide, not too deep In it grew a tiny rose A natural wonder, I suppose A little space between the slate Inside of it, did God create a little flower sitting there elegant, unique, and rare Its stunning beauty caught my eye Made me stare as I walked by Who would've thought a thing like that could live and grow inside a crack? Its fairness captivated me Such a splendid sight to see Its crimson color tells no lies The sweetest candy for the eyes If no one finds the beauty I've found in a rose that sprouted from the ground If no one knows it, then God knows I love you, babe; you are my rose.
