Legacy

21st Century

Translating Marvell's
`Edmundi Trotii Epitaphium'
and after first verse stopped - Italian,
A Latin legacy with commencements and convention
saying, "enough, enough, already enough!"
So, as the four sons are named, wave goodby
from this shore to retackle at latter date.

But before go, let it be said
appreciate more each year;
our fortune here with whom came from,
"Legite Parentes, vanissimus hominum ordo,"
and must in ways abundant pass on,
that which saints, scholar and philosophe
labored overtime on - your "sapite infortunio"
spread out in "forma virili, specie eximic."
And with this, some exuberant aberration
informa pauperis, plays our games cerebral
in our living rooms - exedra redux
and we converse furioso.
