Fire and Ice

By Timothy Bovee

Born 1946

Some say the world will end in fire
Some say in ice
But when I view the kids I sire
I think the world will end in lice
For as they chew and raise my ire
I know they're evolution's slice
To put an end to my desire
To plant another
And pay the price.

Apologies to Robert Frost
