Look Up

By Andrew Murray

21st Century

One sure way to happiness is to get your mind on track,
And to help in doing this see the white spot in the black,
Our shadows will always be with us, this i know is true,
But to focus on them only makes it worse for you.

When you put stuff in the trash, you never go back to with it play,
But instead, put it out for the truck to take away,
So why keep and play with mental trash?
It's of no more use to you,
Surley the situation taught something, now it's unhealthy too.

Some bad experience in the past, really hurt your heart,
But to keep reliving it will tear your soul apart,
So everytime this frightful beast rares it's ugly head,
Switch your attention to something nice that makes you smile instead,
At first this will be very hard but practice makes perfect,
So keep trying, believe you me, it really is worth it.
