Hymn to Nightfall
21st Century
The light that was the day's
Is waning only per the nothingness lorn
O joyous blending of the azure rays
Which gave a hope another morn
Is watched in awe as beauty fades to charm.
Those colors high above we praise,
Your hues e'er moving harrow in alarm,
Eternal standing in unending gaze,
The changing wonder harks not mortal amnesties,
What loving smile sits upon the peak's sincerity
And sinks below our nature's majesties?
The symbol last of the day's forgotten posterity
O' futile hatreds that succumb to benevolence express,
And free us from our duress.
