Once an Empty Vessel

By Frederick J. Mayer

21st Century

Beyond realm of Death,
stands warm blooded and ice craved -
the drink macabre in form of maid.

Dreams learn their fantasies giving lessons
on the turf by the hill here,
as you can watch from hill top
with living wine near.

Now once upon dark - where there is no day
or night, but dark versus light -
Mead Slaker of Ladies who wait.

This taste came and ws never gone.
Ichor drips as amber honey on
serpentine tongue that acts as in heat.

Goblet before the pharynx
to hold gonad squeezed juice,
held by handmaiden of you
darkly and forever.

On dawn there lies stilled,
the vessel you,
fleshy flaccid flacon filled.
