A Song for Israel
21st Century
The hell of Nazis Germany
It's horrors linger yet,
Your heart can't stop remembering,
Too wounded to forget.
The Holocaust, brave Israel,
Your mother was to be,
She in her awful labor died
To form your family.
The gentle souls who wove your flag
Have done so from the grave,
The Hitler born to take your race,
Instead, your homeland gave.
You've risen strong to take your place
And trample down the strife,
With blood and tears and agony,
And every precious life!
So may the Star of David shine
In strength and never cease,
And may God bless your land with love
With happiness and Peace!!
