Left Behind
21st Century
After the War, after everyone fled to the stars
We were left behind.
We were known as the Lost Ones.
As the sky rained down and the oceans boiled off,
We continued warring
We have destroyed Earth
As the ozone layer dissipated, only night was safe
We realize we were hopeless
We had one final prayer
Please, God, forgive us
For destroying your world so great.
