Untitled
21st Century
I watch the darkness of clouds covering my sky
I think back to when the blue birds played happily on my porch
A broken bucket lying in an ocean of sand that once stood upon a mountain of dreams.
Dissolving my life while my heart cries a river of tears
Too tried to swim, I sit here trapped on an island of hopelessness
Waiting -- wondering if my ship will arrive
Many a raft I have tried to build, forever sinking on the first wave they come across
Collapsing under the weight my dreams.
So many bottles litter the beach; I'm too scared to read them
In case I'm doing well!
Ah finally sunset -- darkness -- no need to hide.
