Overtech
21st Century
Jay eats tech for breakfast
He lives next to us
Bikes
Wrench sets and pipes in his hallway
Books boxes and bags in his crawlway
There's never a dull day
He doesn't stop on the holidays
There's stuff hanging from his ceiling
In his living room we see him kneeling
The lawn in the yard lies lost under cars
Tires
Belts and bars
Piles of parts
Broken go-carts
His driveways locked up like a road block
The gate's locked
Socket sets scattered
The house is in tatters
The windows
Shattered
Shutters
Battered
Jay crashes in the bathroom
It's the last room
Sleeps on a bathmat
In the afternoon
There's no room
In his bedroom
No bed
No headroom
Or leg room
I think this will end soon
He can't get out
I don't doubt he'll be dead soon
And if he don't pay his rent
Like
By tomorrow before noon
And if the owner can get through
The gate locked
The road blocked
And see what his house has turned into
By the man he rented to
He may just kill him
Jay sure likes to eat tech for breakfast
