Into a Precipice

By Oyown

21st Century

Sitting upon a precipice,
Created by the running river
That comes and goings beyond the horizons,

The sun adorning the ripening sky
Without friend to be accompanied by

Seeing myself
Yet not myself

Experiences that would have only been transitory
Not experienced, not willing to try,

About to break my generation's horizons,
I think of what will come, I shiver
I do not wish to find out what is under the precipice
