My Mother
21st Century
When we were young
You helped us with everything
When we were sick
You made us feel good inside
You never lie
When were hungry
You always made us the best food
I never said thank you
For that
I hope I still have a chance
Now that we're older
You still comfort us
You still make us the best food
You just get better and better
But you teach us to
Work independently,
To make us wise and make us feel special
And I thank you
For that
