Words In A Book
21st Century
When I see you do you see me,
it's a simple thing to do.
Just don't squint for a moment,
until our gaze is through.
You may see landscapes in my eyes,
perhaps, but maybe not.
Please look real close, anyway,
it may be farther than i think,
really who's to say.
It's you that matters nonetheless,
and you that cared to look,
for what we'll see, with eyes so locked,
is no doubt amply better than,
some words, in some old book.
